Daniel A. Costa for State Assembly - District 9 PDF Print E-mail

Photo of Daniel Costa
Daniel Costa

Daniel Costa is an Air Force veteran who believes very strongly that the present wars and occupations are a waste of lives as well as resources. He is active in the peace movement, and can often be seen holding a message for peace and justice on Sacramento street corners. Daniel is the Vice President of Veterans for Peace in the Sacramento area, and is the Veterans for Peace representative on the Sacramento Coalition to End the Wars. While war is usually seen as a federal issue, Daniel points out that the California National Guard has been sent into combat with hardly a voice raised against it in the state capitol. He wants to be that voice.

As a member of the board of ACLU of Sacramento, Daniel Costa is a defender of the rights and liberties of the people. He opposes the kind of scapegoating of immigrants that was recently passed into law in Arizona, and defends the rights of citizens and non-citizens alike. Daniel is a member of the Sacramento County Peace and Freedom Party Central Committee, and is the party's candidate for State Assembly in the 9th District.

The 9th Assembly District is entirely within Sacramento County, and includes most of the City of Sacramento.
