From the Platform

We support social ownership and democratic management of industry and natural resources. Under capitalism, the proceeds of labor go to the profits of the wealthy few. With socialism, production is planned to meet human needs.

To us, socialism is workers' democracy, including the principle that all officials are elected, recallable at any time, and none receives more than a worker's wage. Socialism can only be brought about when we, the working class, unite and act as a body in our own interests. Our goals cannot be achieved by electoral means alone. We participate in mass organization and direct action in neighborhoods, workplaces, unions and the armed forces everywhere.

Daniel Frederick says "I am from the working class, and I fight for the working class." He says that our system of government "has been taken over by greedy businessmen, and their corrupt sycophants. I believe in the people, not the dollar. I refuse to cut education, and at the same time give huge tax cuts to large corporations."

Daniel Frederick is a product of southern California, who attended the University of Redlands, class of 2000. Daniel and his wife and daughter now live in Sacramento County where he works in a grocery store. He became active in the Peace and Freedom Party through the Ralph Nader for President campaign of 2008, and became a member of the State Central Committee. Daniel is the Vice Chair of the Sacramento County Peace and Freedom Party Central Committee. He is active in keeping the party visible on the internet, and has become a member of the statewide Website Workers Council, that maintains the party's presence on the web.

Daniel is the Peace and Freedom Party candidate for State Assembly in the 4th District. The 4th Assembly District includes a small part of northern Sacramento County in the Rio Linda and North Highlands areas, most of Placer County and El Dorado County, and all of Alpine County.
