Mike Roskey is a union leader who is making his second run as a Peace and Freedom Party candidate for U.S. Congress from the 3rd District. Mike lives in the southeastern part of Sacramento County in the town of Wilton. He was also the Peace and Freedom Party nominee in this district in 2006. Mike wants voters to wake up and vote for what they want, a fighter who will tackle the pressing issues of the day, "war, hunger, poverty, joblessness, drugs, jail, climate change, and waste." He asks voters to take a pass on the lesser evil. Mike has been reelected over and over again as a SEIU local 1000 district labor council president and serves on the SEIU local 1000 State Council. He is chair of SEIU local 1000 lavender committee and environmental committee.

The 3rd District stretches from the Bay to the Nevada border, taking in a small piece of Solano County, most of Sacramento County except the immediate City of Sacramento area, and all of Calaveras, Amador, and Alpine Counties.
