On Saturday, May 7, the Alameda County Peace and Freedom Party and Movement will host a forum on the recent popular uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa.

The Alameda County Peace and Freedom Party and Movement Presents

"Uprising in the Arab World"
A Forum On The Recent Popular Uprisings In The Middle East And North Africa.

The panel, titled "Uprisings in the Arab World", will include panelists MALIHE RAZAZAN (co-host of Voices of the Middle East and North Africa on KPFA) and STEPHEN ZUNES (Professor of Politics and International Studies at the University of San Francisco, where he chairs the program in Middle Eastern Studies) We hope to include a third panelist to provide an even greater variety of viewpoints from the platform, in addition to audience participation.

The forum will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Starry Plough, 3101 Shattuck Avenue (at Prince Street, 2 blocks from Ashby BART), Berkeley. The featured panel will start promptly at 1:30 pm, and should end by 3:30 pm. There's no charge to attend, but we will pass the hat to pay for use of the sound system, and we encourage attendees to buy food and/or drink while at the pub.
